Our History
Our school here in Morphett Vale was established after an approach from the Eldership of Shekinah Christian Fellowship (Gateway Church) to start a school in the south of Adelaide. From discussions between the Church and the Board, Sunrise Christian Morphett Vale was established in 1994. The school was housed in classrooms (where the ELC is now located). The Office Manager at the time, Mrs Page, had an office which was only about 2×3 metres!
The school, faithfully nurtured by staff and leadership, grew and thrived while being energised by an enthusiastic parent group. Today, the school is led by the principal, Andrew Ready, with governance, oversight and spiritual guidance entrusted to Adelaide Christian Schools (ACS), an incorporated association that governs several schools, including Temple Christian College, Sunrise Christian School – Whyalla, Adelaide Christian Schools Early Learning Centres, Discovery Christian College in Queensland, as well as international schools, Faith Christian College in South Carolina, USA, and Sunrise Bethel and Edai Town Christian Schools in Papua New Guinea.
Sunrise Morphett Vale is pleased to offer Christian families ELC - Grade 6 with pathways to Middle School at Sunrise Marion or High School at Temple Christian College at Mile End.

I am a passionate educator and along with our hard-working staff, we aim to provide a warm and welcoming family experience that encourages all our students to achieve their best. Our school provides a diverse learning experience that smoothly transitions children from the Early Learning Centre (ELC) into Primary School.
We are constantly striving to be intentional not just in what we teach, but why. Knowing why leads to how, and we regularly review both our curriculum and teaching practice to ensure it is the best. This is all so we can partner with you, the parents, in nurturing children to reveal the best of their God-given talents.

Hello Families!
I'm excited to share my experience with you as you consider Morphett Vale ELC for your child.
I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 20 years and I love leading the wonderful team here at Sunrise Morphett Vale ELC.
I have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and l am really passionate about the early years. This is a special time in a child’s life when so much growth and development occurs, and I love being able to support children to thrive as they explore, inquire and learn.
I also enjoy using the experiences I have gained throughout my career to mentor others and to lead, guide and grow our staff team.
I love supporting families on their parenting journey and helping each child to reach their full potential. I believe that God has called me to serve Him in this area of Ministry, working alongside families to raise children to know who they are in Christ and to serve Him faithfully.
